This is a Cashbox Magazine award presented to The Beatles for their single " I Want To Hold Your Hand". It is the exact award given to the Beatles in February of 1964. Billboard Magazine, along with Cashbox Magazine, were the industry standard for recognizing the chart position of songs. This is an original presentation white matte  gold record award for The Beatles single " I Want To Hold Your Hand". Released on December 26, 1963 this single had sold over a million copies by January 10th and  was certified gold on February 3, 1964, just days before the band was to appear in New York at the start of their 1964 US tour. By March 28th Capitol Records reported sales in excess of 3.4 Million copies. This and the following two singles are the extremely rare variety with the RIAA logo attached to the presentation plaque with glue. Only awards prepared before approximately September of 1964 use this format. Beginning in late 1964 the RIAA logo was etched into the presentation plaque. This is an original presentation white matte gold record award for The Beatles single " Can't Buy Me Love". This title was released on March 16, 1964 and had sold over 1 Million copies by the following day! By March 19th sales had reached 2.1 Million copies. This award is also the rare variety with the RIAA logo affixed to the presentation plaque in the form of a "coin". This is an original presentation white matte gold record award for The Beatles single " A Hard Day's Night". Released on July 18th, 1964 this title was certified gold on August 25, 1964. This is the third, and final, Beatles title awarded using the "coin" type of presentation plaque. Revolver was followed up by The Beatles seminal album " Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". Released in June of 1967 it was certified gold on June 15, 1967. Although arguably one of the most available Beatles gold records it has by far the greatest demand and desirability. The Beatles first release on the new Apple Records label was titled " The Beatles" but is commonly known as " The White Album".  Released in November 0f 1968, it was certified gold on December 6, 1968. In April of 1973 Capitol Records released two separate compilation albums titled The Beatles 1962-1966 and The Beatles 1967-1970. Commonly known as the "Red" album and the "Blue" album. Pictured on the right is the 1962-1966 and on the left is the 1967-1970. Both awards are presented to The Beatles with the same plaques as previous awards.

This is an original presentation gold record in the Floater style for the Beatles LP "Rock 'N' Roll Music. Released in June of 1976 it was certified gold on June 16, 1976. The plaque on this award reads: Presented To John Ono Lennon To Commemorate The Sale Of More Than 500,000 Copies Of The Capitol Records Long-Playing Record Album "Rock 'N' Roll Music"

This is an  original presentation gold record in the Floater style for the Beatles LP "The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl". Released in May of 1977 it was certified gold on May 5th 1977. JOHN ONO LENNON AWARDS

This is an original presentation white matte style gold record for the John Lennon solo LP " Live Peace In Toronto". This was John's first solo effort to be certified gold after the break up of The Beatles. Released in January of 1970, it was certified gold on March 17, 1970. On April 22, 1969 John legally changed his middle name from Winston to Ono and later required that all of his gold awards bear the correct legal name, John Ono Lennon, on them. John's second solo LP to be certified gold was John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. Released in December of 1970 it was certified gold on January 28, 1971. John's fourth solo album to go gold was " Mind Games ", released in November of 1973 and certified gold on November 30th of that year. John's last solo effort to go gold during the era of the white matte style gold record awards was " Walls and Bridges ". This album was released in September of 1974 and was certified gold on October 22nd of that year. The plaque reads: Presented To John Ono Lennon To Commemorate The Sale Of More Than One Million Dollars Worth Of The Apple Records Long-Playing Record Album " Walls And Bridges "
